Getting started is easy and low-stakes. We meet your dog first to make sure it's the right fit — no pressure, no commitment.

Four hours is our sweet spot. Long enough for proper play and enrichment; short enough to avoid overstimulation.

We drop your pup home locally for just $10 so they can rest in their own space— and you don't have to stop your day.

Not all daycares are created equal
Most dog daycares say the right things. Before you hand over your dog, it’s worth asking what actually happens once you’ve driven away. Here’s what we think every owner should look for, and what we do at Bright Eyes and Bushy Tails.
Love and know-how
Plenty of daycares are run by dog lovers, and that matters. Loving dogs isn’t the same as understanding them, though. Gemma holds a Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services and spent two and a half years studying dog training and behaviour at the Delta Institute. She knows how to read stress early, prevent problems before they start, and keep a group of dogs calm, safe and happy.
Every member of our team is trained by Gemma and always works under her supervision. They know how to read canine body language, spot the early signs of stress or discomfort, and step in before a small moment becomes a big one.
Why our prices look higher
We keep our groups small and our supervision high, and we pay our team award rates. Think about it: if a full day somewhere is cheap, how many dogs have to be in the room to pay the bills? Some places don’t even have someone watching the dogs the whole time. At BEBT, a person is with your dog every minute of their stay.
Training all day, every day
Your dog doesn’t just hang out with us. They learn. Throughout every session we work on the manners that keep everyone safe:
- Recall: coming back when called
- Disengagement: calmly walking away from a distraction or a dog that wants space
- Capturing calm: rewarding settled, relaxed behaviour
- Rewarding the good stuff: reinforcing every behaviour we want to see more of
You’ll notice the difference at home.
We’re an open book
It’s a big red flag for us when a daycare won’t let you see where your dog will be spending the day. You can pop in any time, and you can see everything from the street. We have nothing to hide.
No time out. Ever.
Some daycares deal with “acting up” by putting a dog in a crate or a room on its own. Behaviour like that is often a sign of stress, fear or anxiety, and isolating a dog who’s already struggling usually makes things worse. We will never punish your dog for having those feelings.
If a dog needs some decompression time at BEBT, they always stay with a person, and we give them calming activities like Kongs, snuffle mats and chew toys until they’re ready to rejoin the group.
